Yes, absolutely.
There are Keeping in Touch (KiT) days whereby employees can go into work for a day to catch up on what is happening in the workplace.
A Keeping in Touch (KiT) is a day when the employee can, while still on maternity leave, spend a day working without breaking their maternity leave period. They can have up to 10 KiT days, the purpose of which is to enable the employee to continue to feel a part of the workforce and keep up to date with developments in the employer’s business.
These days do not bring the maternity leave period to an end. Each KiT day is paid at the employee’s normal basic rate of pay.
